The Enphase IQ7+ Microinverter (Three-Phase Installation) (model IQ7PLUS-72-2-INT) is Enphase's seventh-generation microinverter for 60-cell and 72-cell (including 120 and 144 half-cell) PV modules, deployed in three-phase IQ Cable systems across 230/400 V commercial and larger residential sites. It delivers 295 VA maximum apparent power (290 W rated) per unit at 230 V L-N. In three-phase configuration, units are distributed evenly across L1, L2, and L3 via the three-phase IQ Cable — allowing up to 36 microinverters per three-phase 20A circuit. Certified to G98, G98 NI, G99, G99 NI, and G100, carrying CE and UKCA marks, and backed by an industry-leading 25-year limited warranty (with connected IQ Gateway). Source: Europe datasheet IQ7-QDCC2-DSH-00034-2.0, April 2024.
The IQ7PLUS supports up to 36 units per three-phase 20A circuit (12 per phase) — more units per circuit than the higher-output IQ8 models because its lower per-unit current (1.28 A) leaves more headroom within the 16 A per phase limit. For fixed-budget commercial projects where maximising array panel count per circuit matters, this is a meaningful advantage.
Unlike the IQ8 Series with integrated MC4 connectors, the IQ7PLUS uses a Q-DCC-2 adapter cable with MC4 connectors for DC connection. This adapter is included with the microinverter. The Q-DCC-2 enables connection to all standard 60/72-cell modules with MC4 DC output connectors without any field wiring.
Three-phase IQ Cable automatically distributes microinverter output across L1, L2, and L3 in sequence. This eliminates manual phase assignment during installation and ensures the generation is balanced across phases from the first panel — important for DNO G99 phase balance requirements and for minimising neutral current on the installation.
The IQ7 Series has been through more than one million cumulative hours of power-on testing and has a proven real-world track record across many millions of installed units globally. The seventh-generation platform incorporates lessons from over a decade of microinverter deployments — delivering higher reliability than its predecessors and the lowest failure rates in Enphase's product history.
The IQ7PLUS carries both UKCA and CE marks — important for UK market installations where UKCA is becoming the required conformity marking post-Brexit. UK installers can specify the IQ7PLUS with confidence that it meets both UK conformity requirements and European standards, useful for any cross-border commercial projects.
All IQ7 Series microinverters receive firmware and grid compliance updates remotely via the IQ Gateway — no site visit required. As UK grid standards evolve (G98, G99, G100 profile updates), the installed base can be updated centrally, keeping commercial sites in compliance without costly engineer visits.
