The Story

The ThermoSphere Mesh 100W/m² is a self-adhesive electric underfloor heating mat for floor warming and secondary heating in well-insulated properties. At 100W/m² this is the lowest-output Mesh variant — best suited to taking the chill off a tiled floor in rooms already served by another heat source, or in large, highly insulated open-plan areas. Same TwistedTwin cable, IP68 protection and lifetime warranty as all ThermoSphere Mesh systems. Made in Great Britain.

What output do I need for my room?

100W/m² is for floor warming or secondary heat in well-insulated rooms. For primary heating choose 150W/m² or 200W/m².

Can I install this in a wet room?

Yes — IP68 makes it safe in wet rooms and shower areas with appropriate waterproofing accessories.

Can I cut the heating cable?

Never cut the cable. Cut only the mesh backing between cable runs to change direction.

What floor finishes are compatible?

Primarily tile and stone tiled directly over. With self-levelling compound overlay, also suitable under wood and vinyl.

How much area do I need to heat?

Aim to cover at least 85% of the walkable floor area for effective even heating. Exclude fixed furniture footprints (baths, toilets, kitchen units).
