The Story

The Stainless Steel UFH Manifold is the central distribution hub of any wet underfloor heating system, available in 2 to 12 port configurations to match projects of every scale. Manufactured to BS EN 1264-4, each manifold provides precise, independent flow-rate balancing across every heating circuit via a regulating shut-off valve integrated into the return rail — ensuring consistent comfort throughout every zone. The manifold ships ready-mounted on its wall bracket with low-noise DIN 4109 pipe clamps, a built-in pressure gauge, and an automatic air vent, so commissioning begins the moment installation is complete.

Installer Note: Manifold connections to the heat source use 1" MT flat-sealing fittings — do not over-torque. Ball valves (sold separately) must be fitted to the supply and return ports before system fill. Commission flow rates per circuit using the integrated return-rail regulating valves before fitting actuators.
Compatibility Note: Circuit connections use the ¾" Euroconus standard — compatible with 15×2mm and 16×2mm multilayer (Multi/PEX) and PEX pipe using the appropriate Euroconus fittings (available separately). Actuators with M30×1.5 thread fit directly to every return-rail valve port.
System Ready: Each manifold ships pre-assembled on its wall bracket with pressure gauge and auto air vent factory-fitted. The integrated end-set provides ¾" swivel connections for shut-off, filling, draining, and flushing — no additional fitting required for commissioning.
Stainless Steel Construction

The manifold body is fabricated from stainless steel for outstanding corrosion resistance in closed heating circuits — no dezincification risk and no degradation from system inhibitor chemicals. This makes it equally suited to heat pump low-temperature systems and traditional boiler circuits.

Per-Circuit Flow Balancing

Every return port incorporates a regulating shut-off valve with continuous flow adjustment — even at high flow rates. This allows the installer to balance each loop precisely against system design flow, preventing dominant circuits from over-heating and ensuring even temperature distribution across all zones.

Actuator-Ready Return Rail

Every return circuit valve is pre-fitted with an M30×1.5 actuator port, accepting all standard 24V normally-closed or normally-open thermal actuators. This enables full zone-by-zone thermostatic control without any adaptation — simply click or screw the actuator onto the valve body.

EPDM O-Ring Gaskets

Premium EPDM O-ring gaskets throughout the valve bodies ensure lasting ease of operation and a reliable pressure seal. EPDM resists glycol-based inhibitors and elevated temperatures, meaning valves stay smooth to operate and leak-free over the life of the system.

Pressure Gauge & Auto Air Vent

The factory-fitted pressure gauge gives at-a-glance system pressure during filling and commissioning. The automatic air vent on the supply header continuously purges micro-bubbles from the circuit — eliminating air locks that would otherwise cause noise or cold spots in the floor.

Wall-Bracket & Fill/Drain End Set

The manifold arrives ready-mounted on a wall bracket with low-noise pipe clamps to DIN 4109, eliminating site fabrication time. The integrated end-set includes ¾" swivel connections for system shut-off, filling, draining, and loop flushing — all the commissioning ports in one tidy assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I select the correct port count for my project?
Choose one port per heating loop/circuit. A typical UFH layout allocates one loop per room or zone — for example, a 5-room ground floor would use a 5 port manifold. Larger open-plan areas may require two loops and therefore two ports. Always refer to your UFH design layout plan, which will specify the number of loops and their target flow rates.
What pipe types are compatible with this manifold?
The ¾" Euroconus connections accept 15×2mm and 16×2mm multilayer (Multi/PEX), PERT, and PERT-AL-PERT pipe using the appropriate Euroconus compression fittings (sold separately). The Euroconus system does not require any specialist crimping tools — the compression nut, pipe support insert, and split olive are tightened by hand then torqued with a spanner.
Which actuators are compatible with the return-rail valve ports?
Any thermal actuator with an M30×1.5 thread will fit directly — this is the universal Eurostandard actuator fixing used by all major manufacturers including Honeywell, Salus, Danfoss, Siemens, and Schneider. Both normally-open (NO) and normally-closed (NC) variants are physically compatible; select NC for most zone-control wiring centre installations.
Does the manifold include ball valves for isolation?
The manifold body ships with the integrated end-set providing fill/drain/flush ports, but 1" isolation ball valves for the main supply and return connections to the heat source are sold separately. These should always be fitted to allow the manifold to be isolated for maintenance without draining the whole system. Both plain-handle (ZL-4130) and temperature-gauge (ZL-4012) ball valve sets are available.
Is this manifold suitable for use with a heat pump system?
Yes. The stainless steel body is fully compatible with low-temperature heat pump circuits and inhibited closed systems. UFH is an ideal emitter for heat pumps as it operates efficiently at flow temperatures of 35–45°C, within the SCOP-optimised range of most air source heat pumps. Ensure the system blending valve (sold separately) is set to the correct design flow temperature for your heat pump.
How is the manifold balanced after installation?
Each circuit's return-rail regulating valve has a graduated adjustment that restricts flow to match the design rate for that loop. With all actuators removed or open, set the system running and use a flow indicator (or the system pump head) to check total flow. Adjust each return valve, starting from the shortest loop, until all circuits achieve their target flow rates. Refit actuators and thermostats once balancing is complete.
