The Story
The matt:e SP-EVCP-T(W) is a single-phase EV charger connection centre providing built-in PEN fault protection for residential electric vehicle charge point installations. It allows an EV charger to be safely connected to a PME (Protective Multiple Earthing) supply without the need for earth electrodes, removing the disruptive groundworks and risk of striking buried services that earth rod installation typically involves.
Fitted with three incoming terminals (the 'T' variant), this unit continuously monitors the incoming supply voltage and automatically disconnects the EV charger, including the CPC, if a PEN fault or other supply anomaly is detected, protecting both the vehicle and the property's electrical installation.
