The Heatmiser TM4 v2 is a 230V, 4-channel touchscreen programmable time clock designed for multi-zone heating and hot water control. Its backlit LCD touchscreen makes scheduling intuitive — no instruction manual needed for everyday adjustments. Each of the four independent zones can be programmed independently with up to four on/off switching times per day, on a 5/2-day weekday/weekend or full 7-day schedule. The TM4 v2 is the natural partner for the Heatmiser UH8 wiring centre and the DS-SB v3 Setback Thermostat, but its standard 230V relay outputs make it a direct drop-in replacement for most conventional programmers. With a 3A per channel switching rating, it suits underfloor heating actuators, zone valves, hot water cylinders, towel rails, and even low-load lighting circuits.
The TM4 v2 is designed for flush mounting and requires a minimum 35mm deep back box. Do not surface-mount without a suitable surface pattress. Optimum pairing is with the Heatmiser UH8 wiring centre (up to 8 zones) or the DS-SB v3 Setback Thermostat. Not networking-capable — if remote or app control is needed, consider the Heatmiser neoStat range instead.
Connection to 230V AC mains must be carried out by a competent person in compliance with Part P of the Building Regulations. Do not install near direct heat sources. Do not apply pressure to the LCD screen — irreparable damage may result.
The TM4 v2 controls any resistive or inductive load up to 3A per channel — heated towel rails, hot water cylinders, zone valves, or low-wattage lighting (note: loads below 100W on some relay types may cause relay chatter; test before commissioning light circuits).
The backlit LCD touchscreen replaces push-button confusion. Programming and override changes can be made without referring to the manual — critical on sites with multiple zones and non-technical end users.
Zones 1–4 each carry their own programme. Set Zone 1 for underfloor heating, Zone 2 for hot water, Zone 3 for a towel rail, and Zone 4 for a secondary circuit — all on different timing patterns.
Each zone is individually configured for weekday/weekend (5/2) or a separate programme for every day of the week (7-day). Suits households where weekend occupancy patterns differ significantly.
Boost extends current operation in 30-minute increments — ideal when guests arrive unexpectedly. Holiday mode suspends all programmes for a set number of days, then automatically resumes normal scheduling on return.
Duplicate a fully programmed zone's schedule to another zone in one step — saves commissioning time when multiple zones share identical run patterns.
Each channel can be set to Auto (follows programme), Constant On (override for continuous operation), or Off (permanently disabled). Keylock prevents accidental changes by occupants.
