The Story
The RED8/6 is a 160mm 45° bend for galvanised spiral ducting, providing a gentler direction change than a full 90° elbow while keeping airflow resistance lower. Manufactured from galvanised steel to DW144 specification, both ends are male and slip directly into the female ends of SPIR160 duct lengths — making it a useful option for angled offsets, gradual route changes, or for pairing two bends to achieve a 90° turn with reduced pressure drop.
| Reference | RED8/6 |
| Diameter | 160 mm |
| Bend Angle | 45° |
| End Configuration | Male both ends |
| Material | Galvanised mild steel |
| Manufacturing Standard | HVCA / BESA DW144 |
| Fixing Method | Self-drilling screws or pop rivets at each port |
| Use With | SPIR160 — 160mm female-ended spiral duct lengths |
